MASTER OF SACRED MUSIC (M.S.M.)

The Master of Sacred Music (M.S.M.) is available to students who have a Bachelor¡¯s degree or its academic equivalent from a recognized institution
in music. A student may qualify for the M.S.M. degree program without a Bachelor¡¯s degree in music under special circumstances. The Dean of Students should be contacted for more details.

The M.S.M. is awarded upon completion of 64 credit hours; 21 credits of church music and 43 credits from the Seminary¡¯s other departments. Because each student¡¯s area of emphasis and specialization will vary, there are no required
courses for this degree.
However, each student qualifying for the M.S.M. degree must create a 64 credit curriculum for himself or herself and have it approved by a faculty advisor before commencement of classes.
