MONTESSORI
CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
The Montessori Certification Program prepares students to teach
and interact with young children. Students will also learn how
to facilitate their learning through the Montessori methods based
on the teaching of Dr. Maria
Montessori, so that they can become specialists in applying theory
and practice in their professional fields. In other words, through
active research and participation in real settings, students can
learn about the Montessori educational process.

Admission requirements
Applicants must hold a high school diploma; be interested in learning
and committed to completing this certificate program. Prospective
enrollees are encouraged to visit the physical facilities of the
school and to discuss personal, educational and occupational plans
with school personnel prior to enrolling or signing enrollment agreements.

3. Non-refundable Application fee of $100.

Course of Instruction
The Montessori Certification Program consists of:
* Lectures and discussions of the philosophy and principles
of
Montessori Education.
* Demonstrations of the Montessori materials for children

Life
Sensorial
Reading
Mathematics
Also
included are: science, Art, Music, Physical education and
Geography for the child.
* Observation of children in the Montessori classroom.
* Supervised practice with the Montessori apparatus.
* Making Apparatus books and teacher made materials.
* Supervised teaching of children in the Montessori classroom.
* Learning Computer knowledge.

and Tuition
-Application fee: $100.00
-Tuition
-Each course of 10 weeks $330.00
-Ten courses in the program (Total): $3300.00
-Each unit is 10 hours of class, 28 units in all equal 280 hours.
(Classes meet three nights a week from 6.00 to 10.30pm and Saturday
from 8am to 3 pm).

Graduation
Requirements
A minimum total of 28 units are required for the Montessori Certification
Program. The candidate must obtain a 3.0 grade point average, with
no grade
lower than ¡°C¡±. A Montessori Education Certificate will be issued
upon
completion of the course work, examination, and student teaching.
